Sustainable Development Goal

Shelter of Love Charitable Trust

We are committed to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through targeted programs that address critical needs in Mumbai and rural areas of Maharashtra. Our focus is on four key SDGs:

No Poverty (SDG 1)

We assist disease-affected families, helping them access government schemes and raising funds for specific needs, including children’s education. Our efforts aim to break the cycle of poverty by empowering families with resources and knowledge

Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8): Our “Yuva Vikas” program promotes skill development and employment:

  • Stitching & Tailoring: Benefiting 85 widows and single-family earners
  • Nursing: Placing 25 women in local hospitals
  • Financial Literacy: Educating 155 women on managing savings
  • Entrepreneurship Skills: Helping 48+ women start small-scale businesses

Impact:

  • Over 3,000 individuals were impacted across all programs
  • 65% of program participants gained employment or created additional income sources
  • 58% growth in the number of beneficiaries
  • 8 in 10 individuals showed improvement in health and education after participating in our programs

Our sustainable development approach integrates education, nutrition, healthcare, and skill-building to create lasting change. Shelter of Love charitable trust is committed to transparency, accountability, and participatory development. We continuously monitor our progress and adapt our programs to maximize impact, ensuring that we contribute meaningfully to the achievement of the SDGs by 2030.
